The three-day Family Re-Union of descendants of Paramount Chief Te Ahiataewa Tukukino held in Paeroa this year was attended by over 400 members who came from near-by and as far afield as Otaki, Wairarapa, Gisborne and Christchurch; ages ranging 90 years to 3 weeks. Local representatives were: Mr. & Mrs. R. Rakena and Mrs. E. Tuaiti (Parehuia family), Mr. W. Royal, Mrs A Swainson and Mrs. N. Brown (Te Kiniwe Keriata), Mrs. Tukukino (Tukukino) and Mr. & Mrs. P. Cullen (Tairiri).
