Ohinemuri Regional History Journal 5, May 1966
Dear Mrs Climie
I have been very reluctantly compelled to tender my resignation from the Committees of the W.A.C.M.A. and Historical Societies.
Because of the impending hospitalisation of Mrs. McPherson, my future movements will be very uncertain, and, as my own health is not of the best, I feel that a younger person should take my place.
I wish to thank you for my nomination, and I can assure you that I have enjoyed my association with the Societies in the furtherance of a good cause, and especially do I appreciate the splendid co-operation of my Committee on the Historical Society.
I shall be pleased to continue as a member of both Bodies, and I shall do whatever I can to help.
With best wishes and kind regards,
Yours sincerely,
(Signed) Dan McPherson.
Past President,
