BEN and AILSEA GWILLIAM
Loved members of the Society celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary August 24, 1982 at their home 13 Station Road when relatives and friends called to offer their congratulations and best wishes on this happy day to Ailsea and Ben Gwilliam. Ailsea known Ailsea Bridge was married to Ben Gwilliam by Rev. Weedon in the St. Paul's Anglican Church, Paeroa those 50 happy years together. Ailsea arrived in Paeroa as a baby with her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. (Ben's Father was Manager of Waitekauri Cold Mining Co. operating the Talisman mine) He arrived in Paeroa at the age of 9 years and were childhood sweethearts in those early years. Ailsea and Ben have served on many committees & organisations. The Hist. Soc. have had Ben talk many times on "mining". May they both have many more years of happiness.
