The Paeroa Croquet Club celebrated its 80th Anniversary in April 1985 with an Anniversary Dinner. This was attended by a large number of members and their husbands. The Paeroa Club is the oldest croquet club in the Thames Valley.
Forty years of service to the club by Mrs Mona Townshend was recognised when life membership was bestowed upon her. Since joining the club Mrs Townshend has served in all of the offices, including that of President.
