Ohinemuri Regional History Journal 15, June 1971
Last year we joined the Federation which aims to promote original research in N.Z. History, and to hold an annual Conference of over twenty N.Z. Constituent Societies. We were not able to attend the inaugural Conference held in Hamilton in March this year, but have now received the Report of Proceedings together with the Constitution adopted. The venue for the next meeting will be Massey University - 18th and 19th March 1972.
Our members are invited to join a proposed tour of Historic Places - Bay of Islands, 5th to 8th Feb. 1972 -- Own Transport -- Write P.O. Box 2080 Tauranga South before 22-9-71 for preliminary booking of accommodation.
Some Member Societies do not have a local Journal, and it is suggested that any Society may submit articles for a projected 'Federation Journal'.
We supply the names of the elected officers of the Committee.
