Paeroa Junction
NATURAL RAIL HEAD
Striking evidence of the rural wealth of the Ohinemuri and Hauraki Plains Counties, of which Paeroa is the natural centre, is to be found in the New Zealand Government Railways Statement for traffic and revenue for the year ended March 31, 1945, issued by the Railways Department. The following statistics bear witness to the importance of Paeroa as a commercial centre, and also to the exceptionally high productivity of the farming districts the town serves. A comparison with the figures for the year 1930 indicate the rapid progress made in the last 15 years.

Paeroa-Pokeno Line
There is every prospect of the work on the Paeroa- Pokeno line being resumed at a very early date, and that it will be completed in the near future. When that line is open Paeroa Junction will have the unique position of being the only four-line junction in New Zealand.
