When Mrs Mona Townshend (97 years) moved from her Taylor's Avenue home, Paeroa into the Ohinemuri Home she donated a full set of the Ohinemuri Regional History Journals to the Paeroa and District Museum. The first 42 issues are bound in sets of six copies.

The museum has passed these to the Ngatea Library for use by the Hauraki Plains community.

Seen on the right is Mrs Townshend handing the volumes over to the Hauraki District Councillor, Bruce Gordon, who is chairman of the Plains Ward. He sincerely thanked Mrs Townshend and he said the Journals will be well used owing to their excellent historical content.
